All latest drivers an BIOSs installed. I consulted Microsoft earlier this year and had a rather patronising advisor telling me that my hardware was outdated. Difficult to swallow: The notebook has an i7 processor with INTEL management drivers installed just before the upgrade,.
Both computers work fine, fast and reliable but Microsoft leaves a message after the failed attempts yesterday, that techical support Win 10 Pro will stop after November this year!!!!
I would like to update – but can’t with 5 times 2 time consuming unsuccessful attempt. Can anyone help please or is this the grand scenario between Microsoft and the Hardware Industry to basically force us into purchasing new hardware? If so – my sister’s 10 year Apple notebook has just been updated to Apple’s latest OS!!!!.

I have, following the the comments of one Microsoft advisor, the strong impression, that MS has a built in mechanism in this feature update that discriminates against certain hardware which will put millions and millions of harware to environmentally unfriendly junk : That isn’t what Bill Gates and his wife are presently telling the world Again, I am flabberghasted, that no one from Microsoft, who I am more that sure have read these lines of correspondence, has come up with a creditable solution – confirming my suspition.
And I have to repeat myself: Apple hardware owners have not been treated through their sofware changes. I was travelling a bit and and am now back. I had it done externally, yet again, and all are working fine.
I was officially advised by them, that my hardware was outdated!!!! I have been using. Stopping to winge now and do very much hope that someone at MS will read this mail as well and take some personell actions by replacing the present useless advisors with someone knowledgable and friendly.

Details required :. Cancel Submit. Previous Next. I have a Dell XPS desktop and it’s on the order of seven years old. Yet the update runs fine for me. However, I could not install it through Windows Update. I would get an error every time, and I think it was the first of the errors you list.
After downloading I put it on a second drive I had , i double-clicked the ISO, which mounted it like a new drive. The installation started automatically, I think, but even it if doesn’t for you, you should be able to see into the ISO, since it’s mounted, and run the setup.
When I did this, the installation ran cleanly. I did lose a printer driver, but I was able to download that again from the printer manufacturer’s web site and reinstall it. This saves your files, apps and most settings in place, is the most stable method to change versions, brings your Updates current, resolves most problems.
If the Version has problems I will work with you to try to resolve them. If the problems are intractable, you have ten days to roll it back in Recovery settings. So read it over and see if its something you want to learn to do. I hope this helps.

I have done the clean boot procedure and tried to also disable WSL but get the dreaded error 0x Anyway repeated attempts to upgrade result in error 0x I’m not sure if I should include the required Panther logs in this message or upload somewhere.

The problem seemed to be a corruption issue in the Boot Configuration Data. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
